According to my Facebook-friends, Oleg is big in Sweden right now – apparently he is a guy who sang on Swedish Idol the other day, and for whatever reason he instantly became famous, and it seems to me as though he’s huge for the same reason Eric Saade was for 15 minutes: his song (“Electropop”) is repetitive and annoying, which is something my fellow Swedes seem to greatly enjoy, hence Saade’s fame.

Most hopefully they actually enjoy it because it’s so bad it’s good, and not because they find this goofball genuinely talented (sometimes one must wonder), but either way it is a song my fellow Swedes wont shut up about any time soon and that will only make it worse.

Andy Warhol correctly said that everyone has their 15 minutes of fame, which in many cases clearly isn’t a good thing.
